What Don says. Speculation is useless; we should just wait and see. It's a Zen thing...

I am with Don on this one. My dealer here in Vancouver told me that they sell about 4 R1200R for each 15 GSAs. He also told me that next year there will be the new R1200R available.

+1 on speculation. It will/will not happen is beyond my control and will wait. Meanwhile, am REALLY, REALLY happy with my R12R. Might be the first/last bike of its class that I purchase (famous last words, I know).

As an aside, rode the R12GS, 650GS (800cc) and a few others and I could not get the feel/comfort of the r12r out of my mind. It *just* fit. I could have gotten some killer deals on these other bikes, but just know that the r12r was what I would be happy riding.

You will be really pleased with the purchase/ride.

Hello Don: In general you maybe right but I trust the owner of this dealership since in the past he has been always right (speak he knew what he was talking about). Anyway I wish one could get hold of the sales figures of individual models and I am afraid the sales figures for the R1200R would be rather slim. My guess less then 5%. Anyway also he thinks and as we all know the R1200R is the sleeper model in the BMW line-up.
