I've ridden a number of BMWs and many other types. Apart from the whiny noise at a stand still, I find the power brakes to as progressive and linear in operation as other bikes. The slight front end dip under braking gives you feedback as any other bike. Well maybe not a Honda 50 where the front end rises under hard braking.

I have that printed out, still in my tool bench.

"Torsen" asked about "how-to" for the ABS system elimination. I just finished bleeding the ABS on my 2004 R1150R; I had to buy a special funnel (also bought a DVD explaining the procedure) from Beemer Boneyard. I was looking around on Youtube, and found a number of videos posted on eliminating the ABS II from the R1150R s. The servo sound and lack of grab when the engine is off both really annoy me, and if I had seen the videos on getting rid of the ABS I would have taken it out. If or when brake bleed time comes around again I will go to non-ABS system.
