I drink a beer with my baby (and spend the entire time oogling her) most nights.

I saw a blue one in Germany like that. looked great. The OEM parts for the conversion would be about $1,350.

To all you guys dissing me for wanting to de-beak it because of how it integrates with the styling or how much you like the beak, please bear in mind I am not trying to get you to de-beak yours or even to convince you that it doesn't look good. My reason for doing it in my own particular case is that I am adding a Hannigan fairing which is styled like the old roadrace fairings of yesteryear and however good the beak blends with the R styling it does not blend with the Hannigan's old school round profile. I am old. Damned old, in fact. I am not cool and I am certainly not "kewl". I just want my fender to blend with my fairing and satisfy my outdated 1960's sense of aesthetics. - Lee

It's all in fun Lee. Beak or not, you are always more than welcome to come to the Beakster Bash...But when we line up for the group photo, you'll have to just place yours down at the end. :-)

But I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that RRS front fender appear on the much-anticipated R1200R Hexhead.

If you remove the Beak, you will not be allowed to attend the Beakster Bash.

That sleek front fender look just ain't right. That'd be like cuttin' the fins off a '58 Caddy Eldorado.
Hey Boxer, my pappy used to have a '58 Caddy Eldorado when I was a kid. that sucker needed racing fuel to run right!

I like the look of the beak from the side. Matches with the lines great.

From the front, it's fugly. The water buffalo, right guys?

I just close my eyes when I ride. I don't see the beak and I saved myself all that work replacing it. :smt015

Beemerphile,

I think this is the thread "New2" was refering to, I did alot of research and found that i liked the wunderlich fender the best. I also considered the RS fender but it doesn't cover that balljoint and has a lower profile making(IMO) the fork area to open.
