Your logical flaw is in the highlighted word... the rest of your supposition becomes meaningless. Before drawing a conclusion such as yours, it helps to have real data. That said, Fram is pretty well determined by several of those who have done research to be a trash filter.

I have been using the M1-102 Mobil 1 filter for a long time on my Rockster. I don't remember where, but the Mobil 1 filter was highly recommended to me as the best filter I could get regardless of cost. I have tried the Purolator filter a time or two and may change back to that one based on the good reviews here. It is a little cheaper than the Mobil 1 and probably just as good.

Fram filters suck big time. They are the only filter that I have had come apart one me. I'll never use them again.
