So, these are the parts that came with my Acerbis Handguards:
Did anyone else receive a different set of hardware?

Just received mine (arrived more quickly than through the old Wunderlich distributor) Will post some pics soon - can already see the mounting bracket has extra braces compared to the catalogue shot.

No idea - we gets what we gets down in this small country. No doubt a good distributor could ask. You'd probably only need the polycarbonate since that would be what would shatter - and maybe you could take that to a local perspex shop (I know nothing about working with either material). They mount to the mirror mounts so if your mirror stems were hit the brackets for these would also take a hit.

There is a
smoke version - would look naff on my beeeeauuuutiful Crystal Grey bike, even if the clear ones will need lotsa cleaning (
I love the smell of splattered grasshopper in the outback sun). I like the sweep of clear screen, clear handguards and clear leg / foot protectors .. sorta like an invisible fairing (
ahah! your wings cannot harm me - my bullets are like a shield of steel! .. thanks, Goons)

Ah, found it.
De gustibus non est disputandum!

(Still considering painting them black; they're just so
big)

They look like they provide very good coverage - perfect for a Vancouver winter commuter.

Yeah. I was pleasantly surprised by the size. I think they're too big to paint black (for me) but the coverage is excellent.

Got my Wunderlich hand protectors on, in clear. Mostly invisible but of course they become noticeable as the day goes on ... all yellow and red from bug splatter. Wipes off quite easily (better than my screen).
Nice coverage - I do feel a slight breeze on my hands, and then the wind makes itself felt on my forearms. But I got thruogh a mountain run without heaters and wearing slightly vented gloves. They work very well with the CalSci screen which otherwise psushes a fair amount of wind onto my hands.
I like not being closed in at the bars ends and of course they don't create any issues for my Kaoko throttle lock. All in all, a happy purchase.

Talk about bringing up an old post!!!
I was wondering if you guys with the Acerbis hand guards could give me a part number. They don't have a pair listed for the R1200R but I am assuming that you can use a set for a R1200GS.
I can't even find them listed for the R1200R on Nippy Normans site anymore.
Here is what Acerbis lists for the dual road guards.

Thanks for the help!

I've installed the Acerbis HG a year or so ago and live in northern Michigan. I find the guards to be very effective, look good on the bike and easy to install.
