Another would not give me any instruction at all. To be fair a local Harley Dealer's MSF teacher said come on in and we will do the class

Hey Robert: What happened with that class? .. I am curious. What location? State class or some private thing? PM me if you prefer.

Hi Doug... I found a school to get the basics from but the school is not an MSF course. The result was I had to take a written and driving test for my drivers license.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wells-Cor ... l&filter=2 Not the web sight... I couldn't find it....
The instructor was not Wells Cornett but the instructor had a lot of good info. The instructor said he was a stunt rider and prefered bike like the CB600.. crotch rockets... Also I had read both books of Hough. The class and the Hough books demonstrated the features of counter steering... counter steering is how a rider make the bike go where he wants... as you know. The class' instructor helped show that a motorcycle is much more stable than the first reading of most material suggests. The instructor (with me watching) locked the rear wheel and another time for a tenth of a second locked the front tire on a Honda Shadow showing that a bike wants to go straight and stay up....bikes don't like to lean IMHO.
Something else was the class taught me how to swerve ... I did emergency stop at 20 mph. He did try to teach me "slow ride" but I'm pretty thick and I'm still working on all that stuff. All in all I liked the class.
control ... control.... control

I contacted two MSF Instructors about class'. One in New Iberia said his insurance would not cover me so he refunded my $200.00. The other in Shreveport said the class taught braking (like at stop signs) is with the right foot and the left for holding up the bike at a stop. ??? So he refused to accept me into the class.

Everyone I spoke to said the motorcycle drivers test is / was a snap... it is.

And that's my MSF story... Surly worth the time but I still managed to get the basics and I do well except in parking lots Sometime....
