I have been using this stuff, which seems to be pretty good, and very easy to use:

Why, hell, that's easy. I just keep sittin' on it.

Yup.....just sitting on it keeps it looking its best!!

Seriously.
I wash, when needed, in a shady area using a McGuiars car wash product. I forget the name, but it is 'friendlier' to the finish than dish soap.

After a thorough drying (with a micro fibre towel) I apply S-100 cleaner/shiner. This prod is the best I've used thus far. Leaves a glass-like finish. Two-three times/season I use the S-100 wax to seal and protect.

If I'm feeling super ambitious I also go over the plastic parts (front fender, signals, mirror backs...all of the non metal, non-body parts) with a McGuiars plastic cleaner (similar to the ArmorAll wet-wipes). I find it brings out the black again, adds some shine and they claim it protects from UV damage - which I think is what dulls the plastic. It works very well and lasts me about 2-3 weeks.

This system work for me as I've been asked if the bike was brand new by on-lookers.
