Boxer Interviews Towerworker (me) for a podcast!

For those of you who have been around this site a while you've seen me in the occasional response to a post, a post of my own or more notably my
annual reminder to be sure you change the antifreeze in your R.

Now Boxer has been here longer than I and is a site elder. That means he has the answer to nearly every question and if he gets stumped by a question he'll refer you to CycleRob.

Now Phil (Boxer) is talented in many ways. Phil used to put together a slideshow of the annual Hungry Mother Ride and would do a wonderful job of dubbing in appropriate music. Phil has a website, in which he's got I think around 15 or 16 podcasts. I've been around this site quite a while as well but I'll readily admit there are many more who are much much sharper. Last week Phil asked me if he could interview me for a podcast primarily I think because I do have a bit of a story. Well here is that podcast. I appreciate Phil thinking of me, and I hope you enjoy what you hear.

I enjoyed that immensely!! Found myself listening to a couple of the other older podcasts as well and I'd forgotten how fun it is to listen to old men disparaging the young in those slow drawl accents you have in the States. ;) :D

Old men? I'm 69 today. Great to hear Wayne talking about the syndrome. A friend had it and recovered.

Forgot to add - I loved Wayne's story about fixing his bike in front of the fire. ;) :D

I think my parents would probably have reacted in similar fashions.

"Old men"???

In my way of thinking you're not an old man till you're upwards of 90. Now I'm only 65. I'm a pre-elder.

I enjoyed riceburner's comment on the slow drawl accent. Many years ago I was part of a tower safety training class in Seattle. There was a young lady from British Columbia in the class. Each time I'd begin to speak she'd start giggling. She told me she thought my accent was funny and cute!
