Bike and clothes are packed...ready to go.
I'm leaving for a 3 day trip to Duluth/Superior and Iron Range country Friday Morning.

I'll take lots of pics and submit a ride report.

Have a good trip.

By the way. Curious why you taped up your exhaust... to cut heat, increase power... ?

Oh yeah. That exhaust wrap probably adds about 30 HP and now I can dust Hayabusas (off the line anyway).

Actually, I just put it on because

1. It looks badass
2. My jacket fell off from on top my tank one day an trying to get melted textile material off pipes is a bitch
3. I kept constatnly burning my elbows while leaning down checking my tires, etc. Burning my shins while filling gas, you know the drill.

4. Got tired of Harley people telling me that my bike was running "too rich" because the pipes were blue.

love that seat.

That pic makes me warm and fuzzy...

The same feeling I got as as kid when we hit the ocean salt air on the way to the beach.

Glad to see that I am not the only one that melted a textile jacket when it got blown off my seat onto the pipes

Just curious, how does the pipe wrap increase horsepower? And, what did you wrap them with?

How long have you had them wrapped? I know of a Nextel fiber that can take the high heat - but it would insulate the pipe material, couldn't that overheat the metal in the pipes and reduce their life?

PS: I like your seat material and decals.

From what I have heard, the tape is GOOD for the pipes, and motor. I just don't know why.

The wrap material is available in the Aerostitch catalog. It's made of fiberglass methinks.

Those Wehrmacht logos aren't decals. I painted them by masking the careas off and using Krylon Fusion paint.

I've had them wrapped since last year after I melted my jacket to them.

I'm thinking He means the Minnesota iron range. Tune in KAXE 91.7fm when in the area. Check it out on-line, kaxe.org. I ride to Grand Rapids(Minnesota) several times a month, I am a volunteer on air host. Check it out.
