Anybody seen these tank protectors or know where to get them? CSS is all I know. I saw them on a Rockster on eBay. Nice 3 piece set. (the auction is over, so I can't contact the seller)

I have had them for 3 years now. Can't imagine what my talk would look like without them.

You might try your BMW dealer. Mine has them.

I meant to ask you about them. They look sharp. I should buy these -- I have scratches on my tank.

Got mine from here also.
They look good and use a first-class glue strip, so they stay on very well.

Does anyone have a picture of these on the bike? I just got mine, and I am trying to figure out the best way to install them.

From the side: They install like a upside down "L". The bumps are north, towards the handlebars, with the seat filling in the L. I installed them with the stock seat, and my Sargent filled in exactly. In the pic at the bottom, they are reversed. The right one shown would go on the left or clutch side.
The bottom pic, the upper red R with the U-Pac.

This gives the orientation and placement. What I did was sit on the bike and marked with painters blue tape where my knees would most likely rub the tank and positioned the large pads so they covered that area. Then its a matter of trying to get them even on each side.

I also attached mine where my knees would contact the tank. Didn't get them quite even but you can only see one side at a time anyway.
