Just whose "Vision" is that?!?

Victory has launched a new luxo-tourer called the Vision. While I applaud risk taking, I have to wonder what they've been putting in Polaris/Victory's water coolers in the past few years.
It is one of the oddest looking motorcycles to come out in the past ten years - surpassing even the BMW cruiser tourer with the spider eyes headlights. To me, it looks like the equivalent of the Pontiac Aztek. The futuristic design is out of character with what the enlarged version of the cruiser v-twin was built for. The bike all in all reminds me of a scooter on steroids.
I spoke with a dealer that used to carry Victory motorcycles in Southwest VA. He said that early Victory bikes had serious quality issues. With a relatively short track record of building reasonably reliable bikes, I wouldn't buy a long distance runner that I couldn't completely trust.
I get the feeling that Honda, Harley, and BMW engineers who design their companies respective luxobarges aren't too worried.

I have seen one close up. I would give it an "original" label. And that's about all.

I am happy with my R1150R, For now........

The V-twin has been done to death. I applaud the moxy. 26.5 inch seat height. The only person I know with a Victory loves it, no problems.
If I was after a V-Twin barkolounger, this would be worth a test ride.
Would most likely never get to the Road King.

I'm not really into the full dress V-twin thing. But every time I see that bike I like it. The design flows well. I would certainly consider that before a Harley.

Looks like a big fat scooter. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Kind of has the shape of a buffalo...
I don't think it's entirely awful. I'd certainly ride it if someone gave it to me...

I find myself scrolling up and down, up and down, up and down,up and down,up and down,up and down,up and down,up and down, oh, now I see. There is a resemblance.

OK, I admit it, the buffalo comment was kind of random, but that's what first came to mind...

I didn't say I didn't like it. It is original. That is for sure. BIG SCOOTER? Honda Pacifica. That was a big scooter. Even the ST1100 looks like one. Like VES said, it flows nicely.

Here's what the front end always reminds me of...Pinky

For those who don't know, Pinky is the one on top.
What about the new liquid cooled Buell?

I've seen the Victory on the streets twice now. Here is what has happened to my opinion:
First sight at MC show: Wow, Cool, Sleek, Nice lines!
First public sighting: Wow, Big... no huge!
Second public sighting: just looks bulky.
On the Buell: Well, to me they still just look bulky too. It's that angle from the tree to the rear axle that just doesn't look right. It makes it look like you have to force it down the road against the vertical line of a wedge. Also, their under engine exhaust makes the look bulky as well. Those front scoops are huge

and I thought the oil coolers on my R were kind of extreme
