My seat was damaged! Where can I find an after market seat for R1150R? Thanks all!

Ive tried Mayer, Corbin and Sargent. I now ride the Sargent.

I used to have a Russell Day Long for single riding & a Corbin for two-up riding on a R1200C Montauk I used to have. FWIW, the Russell was my favorite, though the Corbin looked nicer.

I've ridden stock, Corbin, and Sargent. Corbin looked better than stock and was a little more comfy. Sargent looks almost as good as the Corbin, but is definitely more comfy. I'm sort of big 6'2", 250+, so I'm a little hard on seats!

So you're a little hard on seats...Check this bike out..

I was at my dealer today and spotted this GS being worked on in the workshop.

They said that it had not had an oil change or service since 60,000 and it was now over 200,000 klms.

The only reason he put it in for work was because it stopped.

It stopped because the rear pads had worn through..and then some..Yes the metal pad base was even half worn through...Jeeez!

Check out the seat...I guess that's one way to get a lower seat height.

And, they aren't that hard to reupholster if its just torn or something. You could even take the opportunity to cut out or add some foam to make it more comfortable.

Man oh Man! I'm not QUITE that hard on my cycle seats. Maybe if I ate a steady diet of Tacos/Burritos/Chili!!!

I just bought a 2003 R1150R with a Russell Day-Long seat. The quality is exceptional and it is very comfortable. I find it a tad tall for me (at 5' 9") but I called the company yesterday and they said that I could give them the serial number and they would be able to tell me the height and in-seam of the previous owner, compare it to my in-seam and height and do a rebuild on it for $150 to fit my dimensions.

This seat (primary and passenger) cost $660 new, so it might not be a bad option (if you like the look and quality) to look for a used one.

Check the ibmwr site right now...there is a nearly new Russel day long for your bike.
