Howdy all.
Does anyone else feel that their hands are crowded on the standard heated grips?
Mine ride the ridge and gets uncomfortable after an hour or so.
Is there any way to lengthen the grip or aftermarket?

Hi Erik,
Perhaps some
grip covers would help?

I'm 6'4" and wear XXL gloves...I've also looked into it and gave up..re longer grips...as for diameter...I hate fat grips..even with big hands.
Have you noticed that the newer BMW's have even thiner grips..You will get used to them..I don't even think about it anymore.

Try 30 or 40 big O rings on each of the grips. The heated grips still work and the grip size is somewhat increased and perhaps a little more vibration damped. I bought mine at a dealer, but a bag of 100 or 500 wouldn't be that much from an industrial supply house.

There is a thick rubberized grip tape sold in sporting goods stores intended to wrap the grip area of tennis rackets. I've seen SportBikes using it as a way to get a new, larger diameter grip while also getting a sticky surface to hold on to. It's like an inch wide and you just stretch wind it around with a half width overlap. It sticks to itself so well that the successive bands become one solid piece.

When i had my Rockster i swapped out the grips. On the KR I went with the fatter grip puppies.
