New custom shield for Roadster

Well not actually!!
It's been modified!! I have the Parabellum Super Tour Screen and it has been nice to block cold wind and the elements but didn't really have a great style or look to it.

I took about 7" off the top and gave the sides some curves to add a little style. I thought my wife was going to kill me when she saw me with my Dremel tool and the shield off the bike.
It works well too. It take wind blast off the chest and leaving more clean air on the helmet. A little quieter.
Maybe should submit some pics to Parabellum so the can come out with a "sport" shield for the R.

Yeah very neat indeed Buckster.
I was contemplating, call it contemplating, fitting a touring screen to my R and have located a manufacturer downunder in Western Australia, trading as Eagle Screens. They have been around for awhile, which confirms their products must be at least half reasonable. Since your modified screen seems to work well, and looks good, would you mind providing the dimensions.
Eagle screens are 450mm (18") at the widest and 360 mm (14") tall, measured from the top of the headlight. Just want to compare mythologies, since your screen actually works; call me frugal, I just don't like wasting money on something that may not.
If other riders have different preferences/solutions, would be good to hear.

Good work there fella - it takes bottle to take power tools to a perfectly good & expensive piece of kit (particularly with witnesses), I'm glad it worked out for you!

Nicely Done!!! I wonder if I would like my BMW high wind screen if it was at this more upright angle. Curious, what did you use as a template for the side curves, Coca Cola bottle or Carmen Electra's waist?

gunga, the measurements are 16 1/2" wide and 14 1/2" tall from the top of the headlight.
zooomart, I actually free handed the curves and my wife said the same thing that the curves seemed "sexy".
I guess so...I just wanted to do something different and I like the look way better.
