Hi guys. Just saying hello. I've been reading this forum for a month or so, and decided I wanted to join.
I bought a very low mileage, silver 2004 R1150R in June, and have been loving every minute on it. This is my eighth bike, but my first BMW. I've always admired the Rs, and finally decided that I had to have one. I've put about 3500 miles on it thus far, riding locally. Since the temperatures have fallen here in southern Illinois, I find myself day-dreaming about taking a trip or two next year on the R.
Anyway, glad to be on-board.
Keith

Welcome aboard!
Good to have another fellow Illinoisan with us, and your just up the road from the IL town of my namesake too! (Spelled differently, but pronounced the same)
You will love your R, I put over 10,000 miles on mine this season which is also a silver 2004 BTW! And with all the help and info available here, they are so easy to work on.
Enjoy, and feel free to post even the simplest questions.
