Aftermarket exhaust

Looking at putting a cat eliminator and aftermarket can on the Rockster. Probably the two brothers system. I've heard those and think they sound nice. I am already running a K&N filter. Will I need to have the ECU reset or changed to an aftermarket chip to make the air/fuel mixture correct. I don't want to run the bike too lean. The two brothers system has the hook up for the O2 sensor.

That's what I went with on my 02 R1150R many moons ago and was very happy with the outcome.
There is nothing that you need to do to the ECU as the open loop map is a bit richer than the close loop map (when the 02 sensor is in the loop).
Depending on the state of tune of your bike and the gas used, you might experience a little bit of surging at steady state speeds (3000 rpm - 4000rpm), although I never had that problem.
On the other hand the bike is losing ~ 19 pounds of weight .....you will experience crispier acceleration and a stronger pull at higher rpm.

The best exhaust system for the Rockster is NO exhaust system...............Just leave the CAT and put a little resonator on it.....Sounds great! Cost $25....

Hey Royb,
Awesome mod! Would you be interested in fabricating another adapter for a fee? Google coughed up one seedy-looking adapter on ebay, would like something more suitable.

Any muffler shop could make you the same thing for a lot less $$ than it would cost for me to turn you one out of billet aluminum.

Staintune. You keep the O2 sensor, and still drop 15 pounds.

I have a Two brothers system that I'll sell you for CHEAP.
The y pipe is in good shape, the can is falling apart. I do not have the clamps for it, but I made some aluminum spacers and just used the factory clamps when I had it on.
When the can crapped out on me I just got a Staintune setup...

Just swapped my Rockster's original exhaust system for a pre-owned Ztechnik titanium; the other guy wanted to quiet down his R1150GS. Weight savings are true, and likely greater than 20 pounds as typically stated. Fit and finish are good, though it's obvious that titanium must be difficult to weld, as the Y-pipe weldup wasn't the prettiest. Idle sound is good, but I'm a bit worried about loudness during regular operation at 3-5k RPMs. Eager to evaluate when weather and schedule permits.
