Hi,

To your best knowledge who manufactures cat replacement Y-pieces?

I am sick of looking at that lump (the cat) under the engine and want to get rid of it.
Swapping the end can would look better, but also I want to add some noise.
The reason is sheep often get on the road and do not seem to notice the bike coming.
Sorry, I meant to say "some pedestrians".

So far I have noticed:

Remus
Laser
Sebring (can't find any details)

Do you know any others???

Cheers

Depending your place of residence a couple come to mind

Akrapovic and TBR (Two Brothers Racing)

Wunderlich has several options available.

I have a Sebring Y pipe, and bought it around 4 years ago. Don't know if they are still around. It fits well, and really cleans up the underside of the bike as well as being several pounds lighter. Bike runs smoother, gives a bit of rumble to the exhaust, and torque and HP seem to be somewhat increased. A "do again" IMHO.

I think it was around $280, and I bought it at Irv Seaver BMW in Orange, CA. A great dealer by the way.

Wunderlich's is most likely a Remus ... just looking at pictures now - same position on the Lambda, the same mounting point to bolt it where the Cat bolts to the centre stand supporting brackets ...

Most likely I will get Remus as it is easier to find.

Thanks to all who answered.

Well, that is another mod I am considering too.
But I still want a slightly louder pipe as the prevention is the best cure!

Addition to the list - Motad also make Y-pieces, and they look VERY similar to Remus.
Makes you wonder who copied who.
