I leave Tuesday for a 14 day roughly 5,000 mile ride. I'm starting in CT and traveling on route 80 into Iowa. I then pick up route 29 into South Dakota. I'll go through the Badlands, Mt Rushmore, the Black Hills and then the furthest destination being Yellowstone. Then south into the Grand Tetons and Rocky Mountain National Park. From there I'll spit out into Nebraska or Kansas into Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia and home. All of you in the anonymous book, keep your phones handy. I may be calling for help. My timing is key as I have to get back to fly to Europe with my wife on July 3rd for an additional 13 day vacation. Oh the life of a teacher. Yippeee! =D>

I understand. Being a teacher I understand the value of a break from work but... I have to wait another two weeks for my two weeks from work.
Enjoy your trip and stay safe.

sounds like a whirlwind of a trip. Have fun and be safe. If not too late, I'd cut that Kansas or Nebraska part and opt set up for riding through northern Arkansas and Missouri instead by dropping into the TX panhandle ( see some of the canyon) and then a boring stretch of Oklahoma before getting to the Broken Bow area and the 0zarks. Just a suggestion

Be careful. Lots of wild large animals looking for water at dusk and dawn in drought stricken areas of the west.
