warning sounds/beeps when the ignition is turned off?

hey there,

i took delivery of my rockster two days ago now, and on two occasions i have heard the bike beep.

once about five minutes after shutting off the engine, i heard a BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP. like a heart machine that increases with the speed of the beeps until the flatline.. - i went to my local BMW dealer and they had no idea what it couldve been.

the other beep i have heard was when i stalled the bike when it was cold. just a long beep for maybe three seconds about a minute after i had stalled the bike..

hope you guys could guide me at all from where the beeps are coming from exactly, and what they may mean..

Have you got an alarm installed on the bike??

I don't think the ABS system (do you have it?) does any audible warnings....

no alarm that im aware of haha,

there is ABS on the bike..

Possibly a friend behind the bushes playing tricks on you... Seriously never heard of such a warning or indication system on the rock...

No audible warning devices (aside from the horn) on a Rockster, ABS or not, according to the BMW wiring schematic CD-rom.

Pull the tank off, tommy* and look for an aftermarket alarm.

all sorted - as such,

haven't been hearing any more beeping sounds, so i have no idea what it was..

definately isnt an alarm on it.. so i have no idea
