BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

The general warning light went on today (it's the light with a ! triangled and shares space with the "brake failure" warning light) The ABS warning light/brake failure light is off. The bmw riders manual on page 75, diagrams that if the general warning light is on and the ABS warning light is off then the problem is "tail light/brake light inoperative". Further observation revealed the brake light working but noticed the tail light is not. Only brake light no tail light. I change out the bulb with the proper one (P21 5W) but the problem still remains unresolved. No tail light and the general warning light remains on... Any ideas

Did you check out the "burned" taillight bulb, as it might not have been burned, but you may have a short on the wire....
