Bike Culture - Brazil

Cliff Notes: Town of 47,000 people has 15000 motorcycles. On triple border with Columbia and Peru. Helmet 'laws' are interesting - None in Brazil, must have in Columbia, prohibited in Peru. See the article.

I go to Brazil 5 or 6 times a year and have never seen so many motorbikes in one place. In Sao Paulo they are everywhere and lane split without slowing down   , it's amazing to see how they drive down there. Once you get out in the country away from the major cities it would be a nice place to ride but there is no way I would ride in Sao Paulo or Rio.
Yer wanted by the police and my wife thinks your dead.
