OEM Rear Shock or not? Red Spring ?

I recently purchased a used rear shcok for my 2002 r1150r. I bought it so I could use it while I send my Ohlins out for revalve and respring. The Spring is for a 300 lb guy. ( I am 205lb)...

When I got it I couldn't help but notice that it has a bright red spring? Never saw a red spring before. All markings indicate that it is a BMW shock..

What do I have?

Sounds like a stock shock. My 04 has the same red spring and it is the original.
