Can anyone help with sourcing some touch up paint? i have a 2003 Rockster - the black and citrus green one. Need to touch up some stone chips on the forks which are a dark blue. Have spoken to the dealer given him the frame number and he tells me that BMW do not list the colour as it is only for a small component. He did give me a reference of 'Ferro' and '488' - which I have googled and nothing relevant comes up.
Anybody been there before and identified the RAL number? Hope you can help.
(Not had the Rockster long after trading in a Triumph Daytona - what I have been missing these years!!!! - should have done it ages ago!)

The topic has come up before and I don't think you will find it at BMW. You may have to have it matched somewhere. I think someone did a match last year and was trying to get others to go in on the purchase as he had to buy a certain quanity to get them to make it.

As long as you got the paint code....Sherwin Williams Automotive paint store should be able to match it. I searched for 3 months for the Citrus color and no one could do it. Went to S.W. and they had the paint code in there computer. Most expensive paint I have ever bought...$289 for a quart. Hopefully the ferro wont be that expensive. The guy working there said that the citrus color was the most expensive paint he had ever sold, and he was workin there for 8yrs!!

Thanks for the advice. Have however found a cheaper easier solution. Spent 30 mins at Halfords matching up their touch up paint. Found that for my Rockster with the blue frame and fork brace "Volvo Deep Blue Metalic" is an almost perfect match for £4.95 a can. Not perfect but for touching up scatches etc I cant see the difference. Now can anyone advise the same for the citrus green!!?
