I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Aeroflow touring windscreen for my r1150r. I want the most protection and quiet I can get. Does anyone have one mounted with barbacks? Was it a hassle and did you have to change out cables?
Also, are you happy with your screen?
If anyone in the Sacramento area has one I could look at on your bike, that would be very cool.

Ask them for a "second". Takes me about 5 mins to find the blemish. Saved 20%. Great company! YMMV.

I have an Aeroflow screen and the tank wings on my R1150's for the last 4-5 years, with the bar backs and Wunderlich touring bar.
Few months ago I had to move all of that from my 2002 to 2004 R1150R.
For the most protection and wind buffering problem, there is nothing out there better than AeroFlow.
When I got my used 2004 out of state with the BMW Touring Screen and had to ride it to Florida, I realized how good the AeroFlow really is.
About rerouting:
Right side: The front break line needs to come to the outside of the headlight bracket together with the throttle cable.
Left side: Clutch and chock lines will have to stay outside of the bracket too.
The support bracket for the AeroFlow screen has a plate that needs to be attached to the 2 top bolts that hold the handle bar.
My bar-backs were in the way for the plate and I had to take them to the machine shop to cut them, just to make room for the plate.
It is not a big deal and any machine shop will do.
My bar-backs are not very popular, 1.5inch UP and 1.5inch back, maybe yours will not have to be cut.
When you will be ordering the screen, just tell them that you have bar-backs and they will give you longer bolts.

Was checking their website and saw that the mounting brackets were unavailable for the sport and touring fairing. Are they back in production?

I have an Aeroflow sport fairing and give it very high marks all-around. Well-made, very good protection for a relatively small screen, easy installation. Works well with my 5' 7" frame. The Aeroflow was a better alternative than the BMW sport shield that I used to use (and which has been sitting in my basement if anyone's interested buying one).

I spoke with Paige Ortiz at AF a couple of months ago when I had a problem with the coating on the brackets (there was some rusting at the weldments and they redid the powder coating at no charge - a great company to deal with) and he told me that they were no longer making the screen for the R1150R. Has that changed?

Aeroflow no longer makes the brackets but still has the plastic shields available in both sport and touring models. I was lucky enough to find a used set of brackets. It does not get any better than Aeroflow.

I have the bar backs, with sport Aeroflow fairing.. It works great. I'm considering adding the tank wings, and be done with it..

I have had the areoflow touring shield and tank wings for 4 years. They are great! When I first put the shield on I had bar backs in place. I didn't like the way the shield worked with the bar backs mainly due to tight cables and some what to the feel of the bar backs being pushed up and extra inch. I rode with sheild sans bar backs for three years. This year I put the bar backs on again and had to route the cables out side of the head light bracket as mentioned earlier. Now I love the extra inch up and am very happy with the set up. Aeroflow makes a great product, it really works. Looks a bit wierd with bar backs and mounting hard ware all stacked up, but I looks past that cause the ride is great!

I have the 21" Parabellum Super Tour with Wunderlich Touring bar and AeroFlow TankWings. A little smaller than the Aeroflow but gives me very little buffeting and is much quieter than anything else I tried. Just doing my part to muddy the waters.

Thinking about purchasing an aeroflow as well. Other option is a company called MRA which is a German company that is distributed by Twisted Throttle here in Rhode Island. Anything to avoid wind buffeting against the helmet - that gives me vertigo! Anyone have any info about MRA?
