So after disassembling and reassembling the bike in the process of painting and repairing things my clutch started slipping, so i got to do it again... The old disk with 38k was shot, not wanting to have to do this again i coated the input shaft and throwout rod with moly dry film spray and i had clutchmasters build me a new clutch. With the new clutch i had them make it with a sprung center and kevlar based wear surfaces. they were also able to resurface the 2 clamping plates. while doing this i also upgraded the diaphragm spring to the slightly stiffer 2 mm thick one (vs 1.75 mm). I only took it for a short spin last night, but this clutch is much smoother, the only negative is that it starts to engage very quickly (< .5 in from full in). i had all gaps in spec, but i had to tighten up the handle side to remove most all of the slack otherwise it would creep in gear. but for $300 shipped for everything i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this setup.

The updagrade that you did seems very good, what is your experience so far?.
clutchmaster did it? 300$ shipped?..

I really like it, smooth but very strong engagement. if i had to do it over i wouldn't have upgraded the diaphragm spring, the material is so good its just not needed. yea clutchmasters did everything. it might be even cheaper if you don't get a sprung center, i'm not sure if it really made all that much of a difference.
