Just wanted to mention that the throttle rocker on the right grip is great (so easy to hold the throttle position that I do not use the cruise control any more), and I just got one for the left grip as well to relieve the pressure on my left palm. Made in USA! (http://www.throttlerocker.com/)

I don't know what the II is refering to, but I have the original that a friend gave me, and I love it. I also put on some grip puppies on and the TR fit on just fine.

I got original Throttle Rocker in 2001 and loved it.
Last year, while my bike was parked at the motel HELL, the Throttle Rocker found a new owner.
From the picture I can tell that new Throttle Rocker II attaches to the bar by the Velcro.
I think I like the ORIGINAL Throttle Rocker better.

How does one get their fingers around the right grip when aggressively riding ? Not to mention unexpected avoidance maneuvers at any point on your ride.

I would like to use the Rocker but I have these concerns about using it.

It appears as if the Velcro mounting of the new design, will allow easy removal. Anyone have the new design?

Anyone want to buy a Throttlemeister w/ matching left side bar end (polished style), in the box with instructions, used twice. I have BMW GS hand-grips and cannot use them.

Did you get the Throttlemeister for the 1150r with gs handguards? You might be able to get a hold of T-M and see if they can sell you the little plate-thing you need to separate the guards, the bar end, and the end-washer cap thing.

I've had mine since '02. They work great but need the occasional readjustment. I only use it on long stretches.

The Throttle Rocker is great for maintaining slab speeds while relieving stress on your hand and wrist, but if you have it set up to hold 75mph at a comfortable position, it interferes with your decel throttle twist. As long as I remember it's there, I can deal with it. But during surprising, sudden, traffic stops I sometimes get entangled with it. The Velcro attachment works OK; mine came with a wide rubber band to help it grip better, which I never used.

I installed a Kaoko Throttle-Lock and find it both more useful and a bit safer, and my GS handguards do not interfere with it.

Now that I have had the one on the right grip for several months, is seems a part of the bike. Never gets in the way, and easy to set the speed in changing traffic conditions. The left one is starting to feel the same way. If I was going for a long ride on the freeway, with low to moderate traffic, I would use my throttle lock.

Maybe I needed to give the throttle rocker a better trial, but it always seemed to get in the way for me too, plus it would slip on me quite a bit (with or without the rubber band). I didn't use it at all on the TN trip this summer, I prefer to use my hand differently to relieve stress. In addition to the 'usual' grip position, I'll put all four fingers up on the brake lever and use my thumb to and palm to maintain throttle, or only use my fingers (no palm or thumb). Between the two, I can manage to give my hand enough of a rest.

Whatever works for everyone, though!

Back in 07 I went to get 2 kinds of crampbusters and a throttlerockerII, the throttlerockerI wasn't available. None of them worked for me, the long thin crampbuster was just that, too long. The shorter stubby one was just that, too fat. And my throttlerockerII would always slip out of position especially in the rain, and required constant tightening of the velcro strap. Luckily a good friend had a throttlerockerI and actually preferred my throttlerockerII because it was much easier for him to transfer it among his many bikes, especially the ones with handguards, so we swapped and I've been a very happy camper since
