I had my Rock wide open on 219 this past Sunday (going to Johnstown, Pa) Thunder In the Valley Rally. Had my bags on and haven't adjusted valves or rechecked TB synch in a while. I weight about 256lbs. and could only get 118 mph GPS verified. I don't think the bags if taken off would give me 4 or 5 mph? The bags were empty. What are the top speeds you have verified on your Rocksters and I don't want to hear and BS about 130 etc.etc.etc.

Had my Roc up to 200KMH (approx 125 mph) on the superslab in Spain a few weeks ago (trying to keep up to the Ducatis in the group). I backed off once I hit the magic #, as I wasn't that comfortable running at that speed (don't think the bike was too happy with me either...) The bike was loaded down with full system cases, a tank bag, and has the BMW windscreen installed. All I could think about at the time was the WARNING I recalled seeing in the installation instructions that came with the system cases and tank bag NOT to exceed 130 kmh (80mph). Decided that having parts fly off my bike at those speeds wouldn't be a pretty thing, so tried to keep the speeds down to something more sane from then on. Was pretty comfortable cruising at 160kmh (100mph), although even at those speeds things fly by pretty fast! The bike was certainly rock solid at that speed - didn't feel light or twitchy until it approached the 200 kmh mark.
Have to admit that being able to ride in Eurpope at triple digit speeds, without the worry of getting tickets, was worth the price of admission alone! Everyone should try it if they get the chance!

124 GPS MPH. This with the touring windshield and my system bags. I weigh about 210. Slight downhill stretch of highway. A little short of the 162 on my K bike but fast enough.

135mph indicated.
Funny thing - run at that speed for more than a few seconds and the bike berates you by resetting the clock to 1:00.... happened to me twice now.

I haven't gone flat out yet, but I've gotten it up to 110-MPH indicated. Rock steady, but the wind blast is a bit severe. I pretty much laid down on the tank and tuck behind the oil coolers and the tiny fly screen.
what is your top speed?

Nope, it doesn't matter at all, but we all like to know for the sake of curiosity. If we were more concerned with top speed, we wouldn't be buying BMWs.

Well I am not a Rockster rider, but the fastest I have gone on my 2004 R1150R is 180 kmh (about 106 mph if I recall my conversion formulas correctly). That was with system cases. I am sure I could have gone faster, but that was fast enough for me. My goal this year is to hit 200 kmh. Hopefully unobserved by the OPP.

200 kph a few times, but just can't seem to push her any further, even though there's a few revs left at that speed. Has anyone really gone faster than this on a stock standard machine without a slight tailwind or or downhill??

I just hit an indicated 122 MPH, on rt. 30 in western Pa. Still getting up the courage to try again, it was rock solid at speed though, try again soon.
