Mmmm...

Neat but, IMHO it looks a bit too far back and a bit high.

And, why is your bike SO CLEAN? Doesn't it rain where you live?

Buying the version that attaches to the stock side rails, does in fact position the
topcase lower and not quite as far back

However the back rest is not as tall

yes, that's true. I have that one and have been using it for 3? years now. I do find that while the topcase is still secure on the rack, it has worked itself a little looser than when new. I am able to twist it in the mounting. I am still most confident in it's integrity.

I think I paid 50 bucks more for the same setup in GIVI version and 52 Litters top case.
I like the idea that the top case is moved back, could be a plus if you ride 2-up.
I don't know the limits for Hepco & Becker, but for GIVI it is 22 pounds max capacity.
Usualy I have at least 45 pounds with no problems and just a little handling inconveniences.
For 40 Litters case, Hepco & Becker looks pretty good.
