R1100 vs 1150

So, I might pick up an R1100R in the near future. But, I was wondering if it is worth holding out for an 1150?

I intend to get a bike with ABS. This one comes with ABS, but I don't know how bulletproof that system is (in terms of needing repairs, not stopping the bike. I understand it works pretty good at the second part).

Thoughts?

About 2 months ago I was in the same boat. I found a R1100R and a R1150R both fit my needs, but the R1100R was cheaper. I chose the R1100R and I'm soooooooooooooooo glad I did.

In my opinion:
R1100R pluses: (1) Better seating position, (2) cheaper to repair, (3) clearly nicer looking (no beak on the fender), (4) less expensive, (5) Brembo brakes

R1150R pluses: (1) Slightly more power, (2) better resale, (3) BMW brakes (some say are better, not me)

Bottom line my choosing the R1100R saved me at least $2000 and I love the bike so much I don't know how I could love a R1150R any more.

For your ABS question... I thought I bought a bike with ABS, and found it it doesn't have it. You might want to makes sure the bike you are looking at has the ABS components (no matter what the seller says). I don't miss not having ABS so far. The bike stops great and I live in the desert (less likely to need ABS in wet conditions).
