Feels like rear end is moving

Post by Petrus »

Hello Ladies;

When on my lovely Rockster I hit a turn, it feels as if my rear end is moving, sort of one of the good old US Cars the boats we all love and remember - any suggestions? It sticks so far, running new tires on it, pressure is good, no obvious suspension issues I see. Dont see any leaks and bike is none ABS. Last time I had funny feeling my tires (from previous owner) had cracks in them half way round. pulled on rear end to see if there is any movement, nothing I can feel there either.

hmm - could be the main rear hub bearing?? with the bike on centre stand and rear wheel off the ground, put your hands on the top and bottom of the wheel (as opposed to front/back) and try to rotate the wheel around the hub - but across the bike - ie not in the direction of normal rotation, but at 90 degrees. Any movement?
Non quod, sed quomodo.
