BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

I bought the JVB DVD for the 1200 GS and I am hoping most of that info is valid for my r1150r -- especially the fluid changes and the valve adjustments I think it's a pretty good video and it really helps to see it happen as opposed to looking at pictures. Do you really have to pull off the rear wheel to do the final drive fluid change on the 1150r?
When JVB was showing how to do the rocker arm adjustment his hand got in the way of seeing where you need to put the feeler gauge. Is there any info on this site that shows it more clearly?
Anything else I need to know about how the 1200 maintenance that he shows differs from 1150 maintenance? I'm not inclined do do ABS brake fluid change, so I'm not going to worry about that.

Keep the wheel on, the engineers at BMW calculated the exact thickness of a cut out washer jug, then placed the rear diff drain plug that exact distance from the tire sidewall. This is assuming you have the stock wheel and tire combination.

Valve clearance and end play are pretty straight forward, if you have a Haynes manual, they have pictures...but here are a few Internet write-ups.
