Need to make a mirror decision

I've read pages and pages on mirror choices and still wonder which one (not bar end) will give me a smooth, non vibrating rear view. Rizoma, F800GS, Wunderlich, Tuono? I have an '07 R.
Thanks!

2011 r1200r mirrors will also be an improvement

i dont think there is anything that will be 100% vibe free

Many thanks for your reply. I'll look at the '11 mirrors too.

I put the F800 mirrors on mine and haven't regretted it once.

That's 2 out of 2 for the F800. Thanks.

The new mirrors on the 2011 R1200R arent bad, certainly better than previous mirrors I reckon.

Well...inquiring minds wanna know...

Do these alternate mirrors screw into the existing hardware? Is it plug 'n play?

Yes. Yes. All you need are the mirrors (51 16 7 685 505), you can use the original parts to mount them.

Thanks for the input and photos. It's down to the '11 or the 800gs.

I feel compelled to point out that making the wrong decision on this issue will reflect badly on you.

The mirrors on the 2011 standard appear to be the same as the K1300R which I installed directly on my 2010 R12R mounts. The mirrors pictured on the 2011 R1200R Classic appear to be the same as the R1200C. It would seem that they would fit all R12Rs also. I'm sure Don E. could give a definitive answer.

JOhn, not sure I can - when you say R1200C - you mean the earlier cruiser model from BMW? That wasn't a 1200cc (or even 1170cc or whatever ours is..)?

I owned a R1200C and there were two mirrors. Stock was the round, "Mickey Mouse Ears," type that are simiar to the stock R1200R mirrors. There was also an optional oval mirror, shaped like the F800 and 2011 R1200R mirrors.

The back side of the round mirrors was chrome. The backside of the oval mirrors was chrome with a black plastic insert that followed the lines of the mirror stalk.

I would post photos, but this site doesn't allow attachment type posting , unless you "launder" it through Photo Bucket or some such contortion.

Regarding the 2011 R1200R mirrors, Nylife you show a pic with a wide angle mirror on the flat mirror. I don't see that on any of the pics I can find of the new R1200R. Is that something like a stick-on you added, or did it come with the BMW 2011 factory mirrors?
