Fuel strip problem strikes early

Picked up a brand new R1200R a few days ago. Filled up today for the first time and the fuel gauge never moved. The low fuel light is still on, and the computer says I have anywhere between 5 miles and 100 miles to go (it varies from minute to minute) before I run out of gas.

give it a few days sometimes it resets itself and then works again, but otherwise its under warranty let the dealer replace it

When I refill mine, it sometimes takes several miles before it registers a full tank. If I refill close to home, it may not show until I start out the next day and even then not immediately. I'd give it a few days and see how it goes. I also monitor the trip meter for fill ups, because of the fuel strip issue.

I have been watching mine closely and at 3k it is still working. It does take about 5 minutes after a fill up to fully register but it has always done that since day one so I consider that normal.

It takes a few minutes for mine to register full after filling up.

I had about a 50 mile ride home and it never reset, and I turned it off and on once just to see if that would help. I'm afraid it's going to have to go back in. Oh well... that's what warranties are for!
