Thinking about purchasing a F4 Bluetooth Intercom set in order to communicate with my riding buddies. Any thoughts on the product, or recommendations on another system? Thanks!

I had an F4, liked it, but sold it because I couldn't get the speaker to be comfy in my Arai XD3 helmet.
Here's a couple of threads on the topic

BTW, for anyone looking for answers about gear, you can use this code to search specific forums with Google.

For example, I found these threads very easily with this code.

site:advrider.com, interphone

which gave me this search:

http://www.google.com/search?client=saf ... 8&oe=UTF-8

You can change the website, or topic you'd like to search for to anything you'd like.

site:bmwmoa.org, oil change

My obvious favorite is ADV because it has 150,000 members and chances are there's a review or thread just about everything related to motorcycles that aren't cruisers or sport bikes, though there's some of that seeping in their too.

This is Off Topic in the R1200R thread, but since we now have Bob to clean it all up and move it I figured I'd jump in anyways. :D

I've used the Sena SMH10. Works very well, IMO.

I've used the J and M systems since the mid 80's. The new ones are well made and have many extras like weather stations, CB radio, (so you can talk to truckers, HA), and an input for an Ipod or similar decice. I just installed one on my 11' 12R. Works great...

I have Sena SMH10 systems, although I use it for rider to passenger. They're pretty good, better than the Scala Q2s they replaced. Nice and loud, which is good because decades of loud music and exhaust have killed my ears. Really easy to use, for the most part.

One bummer - the voice-activated coms take several seconds to activate sometimes - like four seconds or more. Also, sometimes if you're talking, it'll just shut back off. Maybe I don't talk loud enough? Anyway - bit of a bummer in an otherwise polished setup. We often push the button and just leave the channel open because of this.

Bluetooth is best choice as it safe and very affordable.
