Hello all,
Recently my brake light started staying on intermittently . Then I noticed it only occurs in the cold of the morning. I isolated it to the front brake. I took a took the cover off the activation switch (at the handlebar) and I suspect it is the switch. My question, before I take this apart. Does this switch have any serviceable parts? It looks like a sealed unit.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Maybe a little squirt of contact cleaner would free it up. You can get a can at Radio Shack with a small straw so you can aim it right into the mcro-switch housing.

That's the first thing I'd try... Mostly 'cause it's the easiest. I think there are some small enigmatic parts that may come loose before you see where they came from, and one spring that tends to leap into the darkness when you open the housing.

Thanks guys. Tried the contact cleaner and it worked.
Re: Brake Light Staying On
Mine stuck a few years back and since it was still under warranty, I took it to the dealer. They 'adjusted' the switch and its been working great ever since.

I was gonna say you needed to change your antifreeze. I think BMW wired a coolant sensor in line with the front brakes.

Great to see you on here.
However, you are tenfold wrong. I've been using BMW approved coolant, so no bad things can possibly happen.
