More on David Robb's mysterious resignation.

"Robb’s departure was somewhat of a surprise and comes with a bit of mystery and controversy. According to a report by AshOnBikes, Robb abruptly left BMW shortly after the EICMA show in Milan in November after an internal dispute, and the departure was only officially announced now."

I suspect the Hmmm.. was the new Motorrad management wants to do cruisers again, in continuing their goal of making every bike for every rider (now we have scooters - again.) Perhaps David remembered last time (for cruisers and scooters..) wasn't such a good experience.
Just speculating based on something I overheard somewhere..

A self-congratulatory post about Robb's departure from Motorrad, but there is this interesting quote from the big guy:
"It wasn't a confrontational thing. There was no big row with von Kuenheim (BMW Motorrad General Director), but it did happen quickly. The details won't be revealed, but a few things came together, and suddenly leaving became an option, and one I found attractive. It was a professional thing, and I thought I was becoming too comfortable.
"And maybe I just retired to have a life … "
