Well, it happened today...I rode the red roadster for the last time

The gentleman picked it up and gave her a new home in North Dakota...

I gave her 6000 miles of fun and now she is starting a new chapter as am I.

Thanks to all of you over the last 2 years...it has been an interesting ride.

Thanks to Doug for his hard work :smt023 and all the moderators for their time spent reading every post :smt096

I know she found a good home.

Enjoy the ride and stay safe!

Dave---RMADLO, NO MORE!

If you're ever in town you can take DJ's for a spin.

Seriously.
Enjoy your future and whatever you are going to do with your time now you are R'less. Always sad to see a board member sell their R and leave.
Good luck.

It seems only yesterday that a post came over the wire from a rather pleasant gentleman (unlike a "gentlemen" having come aboard since) who anxiously announced that he was riding his new (used) Red Roadster home from afar......

He 'splained that his new bike was to take on the name "Armadillo", and we 'splained that his left system case was hanging by a thread during his entire ride home!

With every post soon to be published, we watched his enthusiasm grow with every passing ride. Then one day, like so many before and after his, a post explained "family before riding"......

"Do the right thing" we all agreed. But you may be back. A smile, an upbeat post with the enthusiasm of a child, we hope you will return. If not to speak of rides while a member, at least to catch up with Friends. Some people really like the LOVE generated here, your's included.

I AM NOT LEAVING...JUST A SLIGHT PAUSE...I MUST TEND TO THE OFFSPRING...AND MY 2 DOGS...FOR SOON, I WILL BE A DAD...ONCE MORE...

WITH A TEAR IN MY EYE...I REFLECT ON THE PAST YEAR...MY VERY FIRST RIDE...MISSING 2ND GEAR...RIDING ALONE...JUST ME AND MY THOUGHTS...TWISTING THE WRIST...ENJOYING WHAT I JUST BOUGHT...

JUST ANOTHER CHAPTER...IN THIS CRAZY WORLD...REMEMBERING YUKON...SITTING BY THE POOL...WITH BOBBERS AND SOCAL...LOOKING SO COOL...WE PUFFED ON A STOGIE...AND RAISED OUR GLASS...TO THOSE HIGH ABOVE US...WE HONOR WITH CLASS...

AND NOW I MUST GO...THE EYELIDS ARE DROOPING...IT'S OFF TO BED...AFTER I FINISH POOPING!!!

GOOD NIGHT TO ALL YOU R RIDERS OUT THERE...KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN!!!

DAVE THE BIKELESS WONDER!!! (hey, I still have my Gary Fischer!!)

Thanks, UHGORDO for the first entry in the R1150R.org Poems and Haikus Forum

Into the bright screen
eyes drip down tears from long stares.
I should get out more.

Dave,

As Pat said - I remember reading about your riding adventure on the Red Armidillo riding back from the land of the Stetson - and then enjoying reading your posts from someone even more enthusiastic than me!

It was great meeting you and Glen at Torrey. I will miss your posts.

Good luck with the new 'nipper;

:D
