Traded my R1200R

Post by mistral »

Hated to do it but I traded my R for an RT. at 6'4" I just needed a bigger bike. I had Corbin build me a very nice seat, had them build it up 1.5' so it is like the BMW tall seat. That still did not do it so I traded her. I kept the seat, guess she will be sold. Took three months to get it and then I put 100 miles on it and sell the bike. Kind of Crazy I know. I like taking long trips and the RT just suits me better. Got to love the adjustable windshield.

I will check in from time to time.

Congratulations Ron ! As much as I loved my 2007 RR, I was seduced by the 2011 RT I got to ride while the RR was in for the 24000 mile maintenance. You are going to absolutely love the RT's wind and weather protection. The handling is very crisp so you probably will not miss the RR much either. Oh.. be sure to use the cruise control. The RT is so smooth at 80+ that it is very, very easy to be above the speed limit and not realize it. Stay safe out there !

The RT is a great bike. I am sure you will be happy. Not the same as our Roadsters though. I like the lightness of the 1200R.

Good thing you didn't test ride a K1600. That is a sweet bike.
