Hello everyone!

I haven't been on in I don't know how long but I'm still riding my 2004 R1150R and am still loving it. Recently I hit 50,000 miles and the clutch began slipping. I tore it all apart and learned that it was the transmission seals that had failed, making the clutch wet. I replaced each of the transmission seals (including that little foam thing that sits in the middle of the clutch actuation rod), the slave cylinder, clutch, and main seals.

Well, I installed the main seals using some tools I had in the garage and some homespun wisdom. I clearly didn't have enough wisdom and/or the right tools because after putting everything back together I went for a ride and the main seal leaked oil.

After feeling sorry for myself, I took the bike apart again (in 2.5 hours, mind you), and discovered that the inner seal was not completely pressed in.

Now, I'm ready to start over but want to use the official BMW tools to insert the seals. I have found one of them online but cannot find the others mentioned in the manual. I was hoping that someone here could give me some guidance or maybe be a super hero and let me borrow / buy their tools if they have them.

I discovered yesterday that the price for all of those tools is approximately $656

Thank goodness for a kind and generous service manager who let me take the tools home yesterday. I had the seals installed in about 5 minutes and returned the tools to him before the shop closed.

I couldn't test ride it though, since the grub screw is stripped out and as a result I could not bleed the clutch. Also, now the bike runs rough and idles fast so I'll try and figure that out tonight
