Is there a difference between R and RT shocks?

I can imagine spring rates and valving may differ for the heavier RT but is the fitment the same between the two?

As far as I know.. the length of the shocks is the same. As you noted - the spring rate and damping are undoubtably different. If you get a super deal on some used aftermarket shocks it may be worth contacting the manufacturer to see what redoing them for the R1200R will cost.

The GS shocks must be a lot taller. Without some for modifications I don't think those can work. As above with the numbers of RT bikes on the road there are just more shocks out there.
