Here is a first review on the new R1200R. Not a lot of meat in the article, but it is a start.

Here is another review that seems to be a little more focused on the cosmetics. Must have been the same press launch.

I'm still waiting for more authentic ride reports on the new R and RS. Hopefully both will be available in the spring for test drives :-)

I sat on one..

NY Moto show last week. It sits at least 2" lower than our bikes.. I was flatfoot in sneakers. I liked that. Didn't like the controls. Didn't like the lack of telelever front end.
Looks? Meh.. I prefer mine over the one they had at the show (black frame model.) Didn't have bags on it, but the bags that look like they fit on the other bikes there don't look as if they'd take a full-face helmet or my Roadcrafter. Like the cruise control. Dunno on the keyless ignition, at least until BMW has the first round of fixes. Instrument cluster isn't as nice as the 2011-2014 R12R one (one digital panel, one round instrument.) Headlight has a glass lens, but isn't really round. + for glass, - for not round.
At the moment it doesn't have me waiting anxiously for it to show up at the dealers. I may have to go talk to my dealer about the 2014 white one they have. They're not quite at the right price point yet.. and it doesn't have ESA.
