Headlight Attachment Nut Clip M6, Trying to Find!

Post by AGSuper »

I am trying to locate a replacement clip that attaches the headlight to the metal fairing. The bolt is a M6 bolt but no where is there in a parts list is there a m6 flat nut available. There are a multitude of M5 available but no where is the m6 listed.
Specifically I am talking about https://www.ascycles.com/2/MicroList?id ... 3%20Lights The bolt I am talking about is item 15.

Does anyone happen to know what the part # for this item is? I need to order it asap!

I have called A&S and my local shop and both are stumped. I was able to track down a m6 clip nut for the 1200GS http://parts.bmwmotorcycles.com/p/Brack ... 15831.html However I dont know if that will work as the tech said that some are different lengths.

Any help would be appreciated!

To clarify, you are looking for the clip nuts attached to fore end of Rockster headlight/instrument "Front panel carrier" mounts? In fiche section 46_0825 the clip or flat nut is specified as M5 (item 5), as is the accompanying "flanged cap screw" (item 6).

FWIW, I prefer the standard fiche format used by Max BMW instead of whatever fubar system A&S uses to display fiche. Bob's BMW fiche rendition is even worse. RealOEM version is easy to use. Here's the panel carrier section in original fiche format, and RealOEM:
