Grip Warmer Failure

Post by RonBomb »

The right grip warmer in my '02 R has stopped working. Anybody got advice on fixing it?

Thanks,

Sounds like a wire has chaffed or broken in the right grip. Check the fuse to see if it's blown. Chances are, you're going to have to remove the throttle grip and check the wires.

Grip Heat

RonBomb,

Could have failed. My right grip was shorted out. I had ir replaced under warrenty, but it's not a difficult thing to change. I seem to recall the part was about $65. Cheaper from Chicago BMW no doubt.
A dealer will rack you for this in labor as they have to remove the tank. Do it yourself.
