What "gender" is your bike???

Post by duke »

I know this may sound crazy/stupid/weird/etc./etc. but:

Do you consider your bike to have gender - i.e. name, do you refer to "Her", "Him" or just "it"?

Majority of all posts and articles I have seen refer to the bikes as "her".

Mine so far is "it" - regardles of how much I like "it".

Undoubtedly an IT, I've never considered any vehicle as having a gender.

That's not to say I don't feel anything for it, or long to be on it whenever I'm away.

Good clarification  :D

Yes - I also have a feeling for mine - I miss "it" very much .... hopefully I will have it back some time this week - there are miles to be ridden, first service will need to done after the first 600 miles ... Roads to be ridden, countries to be explored ..... etc. etc

What else could Roxy be, she my fat pig but I love her.
Of course I would prefer four wheels, a bike for the daily grind and a sportsbike for weekends !

I read some very fuzzy article on advrider about it, something to do with the fuel lines ... Nothing on this website though!

Can you please shed some light?
