Moving To The New RT

Well aftre threee years of the Rockster I signed a deal last Friday for a new RT -- March production with delivery in April. Last summer, after two weeks two-up, my better half said that perhaps a more comfortable bike was in order. I've enjoyed the Rockster, but it's time to move on. I'll be retiring mid-April, so more time for longer trips. I think I'll enjoy the cruise, heated seats and ESA. Traded in the Rockster and the dealer seemed eager to get it. Gave me more on the trade than I had expected. That's promising.

Congrats on the new bike...and very nice of you to take into consideration the needs of your partner.

So you've moved from a young farts bike to an old farts bike... :D ....mind you...you can throw those big RT's around.

Keith Haynes was telling me just the other day that he did a run through the black spur with his wife on the back and was scrapping the center stand on both sides..

Also being from Canada the extra wind protection should be welcomed.

Hey sounds like a logical idea. I have a rock and just crashed and burned my HD, and have been thinking of a longt distance bike to replace one or both. So the RT is moving right up there. I love the idea of a 7+ gal tank and my son just moved to Falgstaff (I'm in NJ).

So keep me (us) posted on how you like the RT.

I'm looking forward to hearing.

ps I'm an old fart too (58), so the rock, as fun as it is, is on the short list.
