Just like to say Hi as I just bought the main requirement for the forum
A nice shiny tiger stripe rock :D

I've been riding a K75s for a while so the Rock is a bit strange as yet but I think I'm going to fall in love soon.

I think Tiger hints at the orange version.
The best colour combo is of course stealth-black with silver stripes ;)

so did yours come from spc? in that case you must have come down from herts and bought it on the saturday? i was kicking myself because that bike was mint! and it had every extra too (except i decided i would have to take the foglights off straight away)

i think you've done very well there. i still have repercussions about buying mine as i was a little bit more pushy to get it than someone else considered reasonable...

Yes its the Copper and Black one from SPC.

Sorry Placey.

As you say its quite a good buy with oodles of extras. I quite like the idea of spot lights, I'd never fork out for some but having them is just a bit quirky :D

I was looking for a Green & Black but the nearest one was twice the mileage and a £1000 more so I took the haul down to Hampshire to look at that one...the rest is history.

Hope that you are happy with the one you finally got Placey

On the subject of spot lights...the otherwise excellent GS lights don't illuminate the apex of the corner when leaning! So if ever there was a case for them...

i'm pleased for you that you got it. it worked out for me because mine (although not so loaded) was a little bit cheaper with the same mileage and very similar condition. difference between us is that i had to have black and bronze.

Finally insurance company have decided my Rockster is a writeoff and have offered me a reasonable amount.

So I've just bought a replacement from ebay and have gone from this

to this

And still money in my pocket for a few extras.

Almost worth taking a 50mph slide down the motorway

Glad to see you're sorted. As a matter of interest, how exactly did you end up sliding down the motorway at 50? Purley interested so I can avoid it myself you understand!

Courtesy of White Van Man deciding he didn't like the lane he was in and much prefered to occupy the same space as me.

Its at SBW (Hertford). I could do with the centre stand and pannier rails for the replacement but not sure of the legality of scavenging once the insurance co have agreed a settlement.

me three! or is it me four?

Hello all. I got my '04 Rockster (Black and orange) back in March. I've been up on 2 wheels for 1300 miles now. (first bike ever at 40 years of age) I've been perusing the pages here and have picked up some great tips and advice and enjoyed meeting you "characters". I'll place some pics soon of some of favorite roads and scenery. One thing I have noticed is the glances this bike gets while being ridden or parked. (The only thing I do not care for is the awful head covers, I'll have those painted during ski season). I have taken the safety course and plan on going back this summer for advanced training. I love how the bike handles, it has plenty of torque and the heated grips are wonderful as it's been mostly cool weather here in New England. Ok, enough blathering. Cheers!
