Just re use the old one...it will be ok....or buy the genuine one...I think that's your only option.

Just ask your BMW mechanic for one or two... Last time I asked, I got a handfull of them (they were probably oem)...

My dealer always tapes a new washer to the oil filter box. I'm sure a dealer will give you a bunch of washers cheap, if you want to use another brand filter. Be aware that the stock washers are "crush" washers that are made of a soft alloy designed to compress when the drain plug is tightened, creating a nice, tight seal. For this reason, I would avoid re-using a washer if possible (okay, I admit, I've done it in a pinch). I would say getting some stock BMW washers falls under the category of "cheap insurance."

I've always had to buy them - at the dealer. I typically get a couple when I'm buying my oil filter.

I really should, (as I get one with every filter) but I rarely change mine, I think I have 3 or 4 oil changes on this one. Den

I've got the same washer too. Hasn't leaked a drop in 7 oil changes.
