Just got a pair of 'oil cooler bug screens' that fit perfectly, and only cost $10,00 (plus shipping)...I live where wasps, etc. are constantly being shredded in my oil coolers, and these solve the problem. I will add the eBay item number in case any of you have the same issue...
Item # 190000679255
The guy was good to deal with, and they came shipped mail right away...
Now to go "swat' some flies...

I just received my screens from him today. I'm headed out to install them right now. Silver on a black bike ^_^ Very nice guy to deal with and fast shipping. Doesn't look like it will impede airflow in any way but will add a nice bit of protection to our oil coolers. For $13 how can you go wrong?

By chance, does anyone have his e-mail or phone number?

Rode through the equivalent of a 'bug storm' for a few hunderd miles today..(to Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta...land of Bugs!)...screens worked like a charm....stopped many bugs from embedding themselves in my coolers...and I've already cleaned them for tomorrow's return...
Sorry , I don't have his number...but if you look up the item on eBay...(I listed the item #)...it will have the 'ask seller a question' button, and you can contact him that way...he was fine to deal with...

I was interested in those too. How difficult were they to install? Do you have to remove the small fairing surrounding the the oil cooler?

These look great guys... any concern about reduction in airflow?

I'd also be worried about diverting air flow.
Anyone got wind tunnel experience?
So far I've just sprayed my coolers with Autoglym bike cleaner then reversed flushed with a garden hose. Seems to work OK.

Airflow doesn't seem to be a problem. They are fairly open screens. I was running around for a few hours yesterday in the Texas heat and had no problems with the bike. There will obviously be some restriction, since there is some material in front of the oil coolers now, but from my ride yesterday, I'm not concerned. A few times I put my hand down behind the oil cooler to feel if there was any restriction and the airflow seemed normal to me.

I should have mine installed by this weekend.
I have an oil temp guage installed, so I will be keepnng a weather-eye on for any noticable/obvious temp changes....
