Still riding, even in the mess of rain we had this morning (riding in the rain, in the dark is the worst!). A job change is in order for me which will bring a much easier/shorter commute, so the bike may not get as many miles. Especially on rainy crappy days like today.

Once hockey season starts in September, I am toast. Games every Saturday and Sunday until February.

Hmmmm, slightly fewer rides here...I just bought some tour master insulated pants, winter gloves and a balacla....whatever. Just need some hand guards and I'm good for the 7 mile journey to work pending no ice or snow down to 20 degree's....maybe 15...not sure. I'd rather not ride in the rain but wet streets are a non issue. No winterizing done here

I'm still riding the same amount. But since it was 85 today, I'd like some cooler weather to move in. I think I'll take a bike trip later this month if the daytime temps would get down to the 70's.

You gotta love Texas in November.

Rode last weekend, starting out at a balmy 28 degrees. This weekend is supposed to end up at 70. New front tire going on tonight and I am going to scruff it in on Saturday!

This time of year around here, you get some chances year round. I am fortunate in that if an unexpected nice day is forcast for December or January, I can take a vacation day and ride.

Rode to work today, and will again tomorrow. Because my commute ranges from stop-and-go to some wide open stretches of highway at high speeds, I have real temperature extremes. Also I am riding to work in the dark, but then the sun comes up right in my eyes, and home in the dark.

But no complaints here. I am glad to get a ride in on a moderate day.

I have hand guards but have not installed them yet.

Definitely hit and miss...one day in the 30's next 60's...go figure!!

had to go up to White River Junction (about 60 miles each way) the other day. When I left it was in the high 50's and sunny. Wore thermal underwear, Draggin jeans, tshirt, sweatshirt and leather jacket. By the time I headed home it was four and the sun was going down. Temp dropped fast!! Stopped for a quick cup of coffee and had to had the last layer, the rain gear. Not impressed with Frogg Toggs for wet protection but they make a damn fine windbreaker.

Bailed on the back roads since it was now full dark and headed the last 15 miles down the highway. With the rain gear and hood up, I was comfy enough blasting down the highway at 65 with no windscreen. Had the big Widder (not plugged in) gloves and handguards.

I was glad to get home but I certainly wasnt frozen . Been colder skiing. The right gear will prevail against all but ice!!!

I'm planning a 1000 mile ride to NJ and back next week. After that? It'll all depend on how warm the winter is.

If I get an opportunity to go down to Atlanta this winter, it will most likely be on a bike. This is a 900 mile round trip from Blacksburg, and a 1400 mile round trip from my house in Northern VA.

Hoping to be back on the bike next week after being laid up for the last 2 following hand surgery. I fitted some bar muffs before I chopped the finger and they worked well in the rain and cold. Had them altered by seamstresses where I work and they did a great job of cutting mirror slots and binding the edges up. Even put me some velcro tabs on to close the flaps up again. Had no problems getting to the controls either.
Gypsy, you're welcome to some of our cool weather if you want to trade... It's 40 today.

It was 78 F in Northern Colorado Wednesday !! The average is 49 and what I usually expect. I saw a few folks on bikes going to work and thought, man, they gotta be cold but then started wishing I'd ridden my R to work. I keep thinking it will get cold, and it does, but these unexpected warm days really make me wish I was on the bike and not in the cage. Of course, having to work for a living has something to do with it, too.
