I finally got my little 650GS fly screen painted to match my bike...do you think it looks better black...I think the ducks liked it..
..maybe it was the beak.
This is what it was like for those who don't know..
http://www.r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.p ... f8a07fcdb6 ..
It's a second one so I can always put the silver one back on...yes or no?
DJ

DJ,
Looks good. Colour matches particularly from the front and side. Great symmetry with the tank, oil cooler covers trim and seat in black and motor, transmission and wheels in silver. I always thought your bike looked neat - looks even neater now! Stick with it!

The black is considerably more cool than the silver IMO - keep it on.
I'm still having difficulty working out why this works any better than the speedster screen, but that's for the other thread.

I like the black...I actually took apart the headlight and painted it black and left the ring in the front chrome...really looks nice...I also painted the side plastic pieces that pop along the sides of the headlight as well.
Sorry I don't know how to put any pictures on or I would. Can send an e-mail attachment.[/url]

DJ,
I too am fortunate to have purchased a black R1150R. It came with a Givi Screen which is really noisey and uncomfortable due to the buffetting. I have been on the hunt for a smaller sharper looking alternative. Guess what? What you have looks fantastic.
My bike goes down to Southbank in a week or so for a service. Where can I get hold of a similar screen to what you are using?

MUCH better DJ!
Of course I'm a little partial to the color Black.

You could keep the silver on for summer , then switch to black for winter keeping the bike fashionable.
either way.
